Position Summary
LifeStraw is looking for a  Channel and Product Marketing Manager  to join our growing team of value-driven, passionate individuals that seek to provide equitable access to safe water globally! The  Channel and Product Marketing Manager  will be part of the Brand and Marketing Team reporting to the Chief Brand Officer. This role will also manage one full-time headcount as the Channel Marketing Coordinator. The  Channel and Product Marketing Manager  will lead technical product marketing and channel strategy for our most critical retailers. The ideal candidate will be an assertive and proactive results-oriented, self-starter with excellent team building and communication skills that thrives in a start-up environment.
Local and relocaetable candidates will be prioritized . This position is based at LifeStraw’s HQ in Baltimore, MD and will report to the  Chief Brand Officer .

5-Star Launch and Review Strategy

Oversees product review strategy including review platforms, incentivization, responses, tracks performance and analytics
Supports sample forecasting for marketing team needs, including review seeding
Manages marketing product launch coordination, including asset timelines and checklists
Works closely with the customer experience team to ensure that trends are communicated and analyzed, and proper assets are available and developed to respond to common customer questions and needs

Product Marketing Responsibilities
Work with Marketing and Creative to conceptualize product stories and ensure all product marketing campaigns focus on critical features, functionality, and consumer benefits. Provide Content and Creative teams with relevant product information and ideate key product content and marketing strategies for all channels.
Oversees technical content and communication strategies for products, including:

Coordinate eCommerce copy updates for product launches and product refreshes, working closely with our eCommerce teams to maximize SEO
Manage the development of how-to resources such as videos and instruction sheets
Review all manual user language, storage instructions, evidence dossiers, and technical communications from a marketing perspective to ensure customer instructions are clearly and consistently communicated
Work closely with the creative lead to develop additional assets that communicate the technical specifications of our products, including infographics
Serves as a subject matter expert on our products and our technology
Maintains knowledge of product market data and trends and may pull marketing-specific data for analysis and insights

Channel Marketing & Merchandising Responsibilities

Works closely with the retail sales teams to define marketing strategies and digital and in-store opportunities and provide assets for specific retailers
Works with the Channel Marketing Coordinator to develop options for POP, display, shelf-talker, and other retail assets, working with vendors to manage cost, logistics, and programs. Coordinate the design with creative team members
Manage in-store auditing for product launches and new sets, analyze and review data with sales and marketing teams
Project manage and coordinate retailer-specific marketing programs, buys, contracts, due asset dates, etc.,. working closely with creative, content, and digital teams
Oversee channel marketing budget, spend, investments & tracking
Audit retailer product detail pages and websites across channels. Ensure most up-to-date assets are present and provided to sales teams for loading of content
Audit reviews across retail websites to ensure proper syndication and content

Trade Shows & Events

Oversees coordination of trade show marketing budget and strategy with logistical support from the Channel Marketing Coordinator

Key Competencies

Driven by a desire for a positive impact on the world
4+ years of experience in merchandising, channel marketing, and/or technical product marketing
Bachelor’s Degree required (Marketing, Business,) MBA is a plus
Experience with channel & partner programs and working with merchandising and display vendors
Understanding of outdoor / lifestyle retail industry and in-store retail landscapes
Super organized and can manage multiple vendors, budgets, and deadlines
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
Ability to analyze & interpret data from multiple sources
Creative thinker
Very high attention to detail
Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills
Confident self-starter with competitive drive, initiative, decisiveness, and the ability to stay focused on results despite changing conditions
Maintain an “everything is possible” attitude, breaking habits and challenging assumptions.

Enjoys travel and adventure, including willingness to travel internationally and willingness to travel up to 30%
