Communications and Marketing Assistant | Hamilton College

Clinton, New York, The Communications and Marketing Assistant is an active member of the Communications and Marketing team with many opportunities to collaborate on institutional communications and marketing projects. The position supports the vice president, and other members of Communications and Marketing as approved by the vice president, with scheduling, travel planning, proofreading, data input, note taking, file management, and other administrative responsibilities. They supports the Sr. Director of Marketing and Analytics with social media content management and data organization.

The role also includes some light office reception duties, including greeting guests and answering and routing telephone calls. Responsibilities: Manages Vice President’s calendar and the shared Communications and Marketing calendar including coordinating and scheduling meetings, reserving meeting spaces, coordinating catering, requesting A/V services, and other meeting needs Attends meetings, takes notes, and provides a clean copy of minutes as needed by the vice president Serves as the office’s receptionist, including greeting guests in a welcoming and professional style, and responding to inbound emails and telephone calls Assists with incoming and outbound mail for the division Submits Facilities and IT work orders for the building Assists with ordering and maintaining office supplies Orders catering as needed for office events Helps keep digital and paper files orderly and easily accessible Assists the vice president with research, proofreading, correspondence, spreadsheets, data entry, and presentations as needed Assists with content postings on social media platforms and the website as assigned using a scheduling tool and/or Content Management System (CMS) Assists with data reporting and analysis Other duties as assigned
