You’ll work with ISA’s MarComm team as they work to expand awareness of ISA’s programs and services, to recruit and retain members, and to attract quality attendees our largest annual tradeshow, ISA International Sign Expo and other events. You’ll assist in executing marketing, communications and membership campaigns. Projects may include writing copy, creating/editing videos, distributing emails, generating lists, updating the website, and posting to social media.
You’ll also find joy in serving and helping members and prospective members to meet their needs and never hesitate to reach out via email, phone, social or other methods. You’ll understand the importance of data and come with a keen desire to adhere to accuracy and consistency standards. You’ll respond to all inquiries in a timely, courteous manner while cultivating relationships building long-term loyalty to ISA. While you may not come with the skills to this position, you’ll have a keen desire to learn the technical side of membership and marketing including using ISA’s contact and content tools, including our Customer Relationship System (Salesforce) and Content Management System (HubSpot & WordPress).
You have exceptional verbal and written communication skills. Intermediate web editing and video creation/editing skills required. You are extremely detail-oriented to accurately manage the entry of data and formatting of emails and other collateral.
You have at least three years’ experience in members management, communications, and/or marketing, but if you have less you come with a strong skill set and recommendations. Association experience and event marketing experience preferred.

Our industry is vibrant and creative—we expect our communication, marketing and membership efforts to match that. We host ISA International Sign Expo®, an annual tradeshow and conference that draws 20,000+ attendees, as well as smaller boutique/niche in-person and virtual networking events.
The ISA MarComm team, of which you would be a part, provides communication and marketing support for the entire organization, including ISA International Sign Expo and other events, advocacy, business development, education, research and workforce development. We also support and advise the Sign Research Foundation (SRF), ISA’s 17 affiliated member associations, ISA Franchise Partners with communication and marketing support.
WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE:
Successfully assist the team on communications, marketing and membership engagement campaigns with a keen attention to detail and an eye on deadlines. Work effectively with team members on copy writing, video creation/editing, digital marketing tactics, email distribution, list gathering, website updates, and social media postings.
Work effectively with the event team in executing campaigns to drive quality attendees to ISA Sign Expo, ISA Install, The Wrap Experience and other ISA/SRF/Affiliate/Franchise events.
Proactively support members and prospective members by responding quickly and professionally to all membership inquiries.
Cultivate and build strong relationships with members and prospective members.
Maintain member and prospect data to support segmentation and automation efforts. Proactively reached out to member companies for updated rosters and effectively onboarded all company contacts.
Assist in executing franchise engagement plan developed by business development team.
Diligently maintain accurate member data in Salesforce, HubSpot and other technical systems.
Actively participated in organizational and departmental brainstorming and strategy sessions, never settling in your quest to grow and develop.
Work with director to execute organization’s 365-communications and member engagement plan.
Work with senior manager to execute event attendee and exhibitor marketing campaigns.
Write copy to promote the value of joining ISA, attending ISA/SRF events, or participating in ISA/SRF programs and services. Tactics include, emails, newsletters, fact sheets, infographics, website, direct mail, social media, news, etc.
Assist in posting content on ISA/SRF websites (Signs.org) (SignExpo.org) (SignResearch.org) and ISA’s Affiliated Association microsites and franchise microsites.
Create and edit videos.
Execute recruitment and retention campaigns for key member segments.
Ensure and provide a high standard of member and affiliate service through accurate, friendly, responsive, courteous, and effective communication to member inquiries, increasing value to existing members and prospective members.
Enter data accurately into all data systems and become adept at using these various platforms.
Participates in internal ISA taskforces and committees, as needed.
Manager position; does not supervise staff.
Assists other departments and staff, when needed.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, including phone etiquette and verbal and written communications.
Ability to write creatively for various marketing tactics and campaigns.
Ability to create and edit videos.
Working knowledge of Salesforce, HubSpot, Feathr, Google Analytics and/or other digital marketing tools highly desired.
Commitment to professionalism, reliability, accuracy, detail, and follow-up.
Ability to travel domestically occasionally, including weekends.
