Position Overview:
Reporting to the Vice President of Marketing and Communications, the Director of Digital & Social Media Marketing manages the development coordination, and implementation of integrated marketing campaigns across digital channels, keeping AARC at the forefront of members and external audiences, driving to our website and increasing engagement and conversions. This position also collects data, reports on key metrics and content performance, analyzes the success of marketing efforts against KPIs, thinks strategically and focuses on process improvements.
Your role as Director of Digital & Social Media Marketing will require the ability to visualize, architect and deploy content campaigns within a digital ecosystem, and demonstrable experience leading and managing SEO/SEM, including organic and paid social media, and web optimization. The successful candidate will possess strong analytical skills and data-driven thinking and solid knowledge of best practices and emerging trends in digital marketing and social media in a mission-driven, association or professional membership organization. In support of our DE&I initiatives, we will call on your experience with incorporating diversity, inclusion, and equity aspects into our communications and campaigns.

Responsibilities:  

Develops, coordinates, and implements digital marketing program strategies and projects to reach key stakeholders and achieve strategic goals
Serves as a key contributor to a rebrand and website redesign initiative
Collaborates and brainstorms with other internal teams, designs content campaign architecture, initiates, and coordinates development of marketing and creative deliverables, and executes inbound campaigns and marketing promotions using a range of techniques and compelling content assets
Ensures continuity of messaging and content for AARC campaigns across integrated channels including web properties, collateral, social, toolkits and advertising.
Strategizes and collaborates with the Communications team for the overall content campaign and social media calendar, including owned and paid strategies, oversees social media platforms and social media strategies
Collaborates with internal teams to identify and develop AARC influencers from staff, membership, and the healthcare market.
Continuously optimizes web properties to improve SEO positions and share of voice
Tracks data and metrics and reports performance using data-backed measurement and analysis to continuously test, refine, and scale campaigns and assess against strategic goals and KPIs
Oversees other aspects of marketing function, including event and product marketing
Supervises and oversees the work of the Marketing Manager and any contractors
Coordinates with Membership, Education, Conventions, Business Development, Customer Service and Corporate Partners regarding marketing activities and strategy, and assists in the development of marketing campaigns and materials
Requirements:  

Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or related field, with preference for digital marketing and/or social media certification. Bachelor’s degree in Digital Marketing preferred.
(5) years’ proven success in a digital marketing environment and managing social media strategy
(3+) years’ of supervisory experience preferred
Experience developing multi-channel marketing plans and campaigns; digital advertising experience required
Expertise in Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, SEO tools, Google analytics
Familiarity with HTML on WordPress platform
Experience with marketing automation platform required. Experience with AMS/ CRM experience a plus
