AMC Institute (AMCI) is a non-profit trade organization focused on advancing professionalism and high industry standards for association management companies. (AMCs). AMCI provides expert support and resources to drive new business to members, champions accreditation to promote industry best practices, and creates educational and networking opportunities for AMCs to engage and learn from each other. The AMC Institute represents over 180 association management companies that collectively provide full-service management to over 1,800 associations and provide project support to 900 additional associations. The total budget for associations managed by AMC Institute members is more than $1.9 billion annually and the associations represent 2.8 million members.
SUMMARY:
AMCI is seeking a highly motivated Director, Partnership and Marketing to work in a hybrid office environment out of the Alexandria, VA office.  This position will report directly to the President/CEO and work closely with the AMCI staff, partners, consultants, and members.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
The specific responsibilities listed below represent the primary duties of this position.  Other duties and responsibilities within the scope of this position may be assigned to the employee.  These specific responsibilities are subject to change based on the strategic and operational needs of the organization.
Marketing & Public Relations:

Responsible for project management and implementation of marketing initiatives for AMCI’s programs and services, in collaboration with AMCI leadership, staff, Market Alignment Task Force and Marketing Strategy consultant.
Develop and manage budgets for campaigns and projects.
Serves as marketing support and staff liaison to AMCI Canada chapter.
Evaluate marketing analytics for effectiveness and establishing baseline metrics and improvement goals.
Serve as project manager and staff liaison to Market Alignment Task Force.
Maintain newswire account, drafting and distributing press releases.
Direct and implement social media campaign.
Build and maintain media relations and list.
Serve as project manager for AMC talent development, overseeing budget, marketing and maintaining the website’s Talent Center, and promoting the AMC model and staff roles at job fairs.
Serve as project manager for research studies, working with hired research firms.

Partnership:

Initiates and cultivates relationships with companies to build a stream of partnership funding to support AMC Institute programs and initiatives.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to structure and execute business initiatives, lead analysis and develop and communicate final recommendations for growing partner relationships.
Ensures partner deliverables are fulfilled throughout the year across all AMCI channels.
Serves as primary contact for Strategic Partners, Leadership Circle Members and Provider partners.
Attends, and when required, presents at external customer meetings either individually or alongside other company colleagues with the aim of aiding partnership development.
Attend marketing events such as conferences and exhibitions in support of the partnership objectives.
Manage Business Exchange, website, quarterly to reflect exclusive member benefits from the Provider Partners.
Serve as project manager and staff liaison to Provider Partner Committee.

Other Skills/Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree and 5-7 years of marketing and/or sponsorship in a professional setting.
Association, member-oriented or non-profit experience preferred.
Up to 20% travel to AMCI and industry events, including occasional weekend travel.
Strong technical skills and experience with Microsoft Office.
Experience with Project Management Software/Tools, or willingness to learn.
A willingness to learn AMS, LMS and website development.
A solid grasp of data analysis and performance metrics.
Strong leadership and team management skills, with steadfast resolve and personal integrity.
Superior organizational, project management and problem-solving skills.
Attention to accuracy and detail.
Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
Capable of setting goals, creating timelines and meeting goals and deadlines.
Self-motivated and able to work both independently and in a team environment.
