UC’s annual budget tops $1. 6 billion and its endowment totals $1. 9 billion.   Job Overview The Office of Marketing and Communication is seeking a Marketing Coordinator.

Reporting to the Director of Marketing, the Marketing Coordinator will be a vital member in the Marketing and Communication department, which serves the largest college at the University of Cincinnati. This team member will serve as the department’s primary contact with the College of Arts and Sciences recruitment team, working closely to ensure timely, targeted communications are delivered to prospective students and their parents at strategic touchpoints during the academic year recruitment cycle. To do this, the Marketing Coordinator will work closely with the Recruitment team, managing, updating and delivering assets from email and text communications to print collateral. Additionally, the Marketing Coordinator will support the office through technical, social media and web support.

The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, comfortable being trained but also a self-starter.     This position has the possibility of a hybrid in-person/online work assignment. Essential Functions Develop, coordinate, implement and revise marketing plans and promotional materials. Develop customer and department profiles; plan ads and media mix.

Assess, develop and coordinate public relations campaigns. Monitor, track and evaluate results; recommend changes. Compile, update and report marketing data related to advertising and marketing programs. Assist with the design, layout and writing of print materials.

Prepare/submit for approval budget and quarterly revision. Recommend cost containment proposals where applicable. Coordinate/evaluate bidding process regarding advertising and promotional materials. Monitor progress/quality of bid packages.

Ensure student artists meet quality and style work standards. Determine program schedules, deadlines, etc. Perform related duties based on departmental need. Required Education Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Education, Graphic Arts, Liberal Arts, Marketing, or related field.

Five (5) years of relevant work experience and/or other specialized training can be used in lieu of education requirement. Required Experience One (1) year of experience in development and implementation of marketing and/or advertising plans. Additional Qualifications Considered Professional experience with social media (TikTok, Instagram, Twitter etc. ), social media scheduling software (Sprout Social or similar), content creation (graphics and video) and content creation software (Adobe Creative Suite, Canva or similar).

  Knowledge of CMS (Adobe Experience Manager or similar), CRM systems (Slate, Salesforce or similar), Email Marketing Systems (Constant Contact or similar) and proficient in Microsoft Office Suite platforms Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong interpersonal skills and the ability work in a teamwork centered environment Ability to work with diverse populations Organized, detail oriented, and excellent time management skills Ability to multi-task, shift focus quickly, and a quick learner Physical Requirements/Work Environment Office environment/no specific unusual physical or environmental demands.   Compensation and Benefits UC offers a wide array of complementary and affordable benefit options, to meet the financial, educational, health, and wellness needs of you and your family.
