Lexington, Kentucky, Department Name: 8M000:College of Communication and Information Job Summary: The College of Communication and Information is looking for a dynamic, energetic Communication Specialist to develop communication materials and assist our Communication Director with several different initiatives. Preferred skills include project management, excellent oral and written communication, video producing and editing, and the ability to work with a diverse group of people on different initiatives throughout the College. Other duties include: Write and edit feature articles for the College newsletters, magazines, and UKnow releases Produce digital images to support written messages Collaborate with other units to ensure comprehensive approach Create high quality marketing materials that reach appropriate audiences in compliance with University and College marketing policies Work with leadership and staff to recognize communication opportunities and solutions Design and execute appropriate strategies to support leadership Design and produce graphics/images, short videos, promotions, and general marketing activities Update College website by adding events, news stories, promotions when applicable A complete application packet will include a resume, cover letter, and a professional writing sample.
