Position Summary :
Under general direction the Marketing Specialist will provide administrative, marketing and community impact support duties for the Marketing Department in support of company objectives.
The Marketing Specialist is a single incumbent position reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer. 25% of the position will generally be focused on community impact activities and 75% on marketing and administrative support, including managing social media channels, supporting First Federal’s brand in respective markets by creating marketing assets and copy and coordinating First Federal’s community impact programs.
Key accountabilities:
Program Management: Will manage multiple marketing and community impact projects, often with overlapping schedules.
Community Impact Programs include:
Community Rewards Program
Customer Ballot Program
Community Grants Program
High School Scholarship Program
Community Internship Program
Banzai Financial Education Program
General donation requests
Community based fundraising (i.e. diaper drive, school supply drive etc.)
Company Sponsored Marketing Events may include:
Chamber events
Community financial education & Scam awareness
First Time Home Buyers seminars
Teach children to save
Speak at sponsored events
Marketing Collateral and Social Media Management :
Will create marketing flyers for company events
Will assist in creation of print advertising
Will manage all social media channels daily
Will manage promotional item purchasing & company logo store

A, B.A or B.S. degree in Marketing/Communications desired with 2-5 years’ experienced; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge of marketing principles and techniques, including customer segmentation, customer acquisition and retention, and brand building.
Skilled in designing creative and functional marketing collateral.
Ability to write copy in various forms that conveys key messages in a clear and concise manner.
Proficient with administrative functions on social media channels and demonstrated ability to manage these channels effectively.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and flexibility to work outside regular business hours (8 a.m. – 5 p.m.), including evenings and weekends depending on special events or seasonal events. May be approved to work remote up to 2 days per week.
Intermediate to advanced level computer skills, including all Microsoft Office programs as well as the ability to learn and adapt to new systems with minimal guidance. (i.e. Bank Marketing Center, Adobe, SurveyMonkey)
Ability to collaborate with and foster positive working relationships internally and externally to First Federal.
Strong project management skills: establishing objectives, timelines and deadlines; action planning to meet deadlines.
Data management skills: ability to identify key data points, clean and organize data for review, extract actionable insights, and create summaries, presentations based on the information gleaned.
Acts with integrity, has high standards of professional conduct and respect for confidentiality.
Solid math background and research skills to conduct community needs based research and analysis.
Acceptable driving record and a valid state driver’s license
